Valorie Futcher is the is the CCBHC Project Director for Columbia Wellness. She has been with the company since June of 1994. Through her time with Columbia Wellness, she has worked in a variety of capacities; a direct service provider in Cowlitz County elementary schools providing mental health assessments, referrals to outside organizations as clinically appropriate,  providing mental health counseling services with families in the schools.

In addition, she provided school based mental health services through the Federal Safe Schools grant program in all Cowlitz County middle and high schools, meeting with students and completing their mental health assessments and determining if they met criteria for a mental health diagnosis, creating individualized treatment plans and collaborating with the school systems and families with signed Releases of information, providing HIPAA compliant services for youth in the local schools. She then became the Employee Assistance Program manager, working to get contracts with local school districts, the fire department and the Cowlitz Family Health Center to provide direct mental health services for the employees of all of these local organizations.

Valorie additionally worked as the Community Relations Specialist, working alongside many local organizations in Cowlitz County to strengthen and increase the collaboration between Columbia Wellness and other local organizations to collaboratively provide clinically appropriate mental health services to support clients in reaching their treatment goals.

Valorie has provided mental health assessments for youth in the Cowlitz County Juvenile Department, as well as the Child and Adolescent clinic and continues to provide suicide prevention presentations for the students in the Health classrooms at both Mark Morris High School and RA Long High School, as well as for the Bridges Program in the Cowlitz County Juvenile Department. She currently attends the Safe Kids Board meetings and also attended the LCC Policy Council and is a Child mental health specialist, and she holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a bachelor's degree from Walla Walla College.
